My Weekend

  In the weekend I had a chill weekend but on saturday I went shopping with my mum, my sister and my baby nephew and he was sleeping the whole time but he woke up around 1:00-2:00 and he just wanted a feed so I feed him and he went back to sleep. We went shopping at the mad butcher, couplands and countdown just yo get some groceries and we also went baby shopping for my nephew and we got some clothing, stuffed animals and some dummies for him. We come home and then I had some chips for afternoon tea and an apple. I love holding my nephew but when he cries I just give him back to my sister so she can sort him out. For dinner we had fish and chips It was really yummy, I got mini spring rolls and a hotdog and chips, then I went outside and talked to my neighbors and I went over because they asked me and I played with there two dogs the dogs names are yogi and gus, Gus is the puppy and Yogi is the older one but he isn't 1 yet, then I went home and I played some roblox and just chilled, then I had some ice cream at 9:00 and then I went to bed at 10:45 but I read before I went to bed. 

On sunday I had a pretty chill day It was raining sorta but It was a good day I called my friend and I watched a movie, I watched Ralph breaks the internet, It's a pretty good movie it is a 1-2 hour movie I'm not quite sure but I'm pretty sure it is I had some sweet and salty popcorn and then my nana and grandad come over because they come every sunday. For dinner I had some chicken nibbles and chips and It was a decent meal because my mum couldn't be bothered cooking then I finished and I went to go have a shower and then when I was finished I had a some ice cream ready for me, the ice cream was goody goody gum drops, which is a pretty good ice but not as good as cookies and cream. Then I went to bed at 8:30. That was my weekend and I hope you enjoyed reading this, how was your weekend tell me all about it. BYE!  

My cat Gingy

 

This was my cat Gingy, he was my cat, before he died. Here is the story so I was 1-2 at the time, he was like a cat grandad he would give me cuddles when I was having a nap. I loved him to bits, he was the most loving cat. He was 10-12 years old but he was still the best cat I had. He loved being outside and playing with his toys inside his favorite toy was a toy giraffe, his favourite food was his special cat biscuits but he was such a loving cat. I miss him so much, Here is the proper story, one morning he was gone, he was nowhere to be found, and he was in the back garden he went out of the cat door and he was just playing with his tail, then an hour past it was like 12:00-1:00 and he was having a feed, and then he was back out side again and then this dog come up to him and eat him, I was so sad when my mum and dad told me. I didn't know what to do but all I remember me doing was crying in my room. But thats all I can remember but that's the story, me and my family love him to bits and he is still in my heart. On Saturday I did some drawing, I did a flower and my friend choose the colours, it looks very colourful I like it cause it sorta looks like a Circus flower that they would have on a clown. Bye have a good day!

Cooking

 Last  night I helped with making dinner, we had pasta and the pasta type was tortellini and the pasta sauce was creamy pesto sauce it was so GOOD! I took some photos in the process of making the pasta.

Weetbix slice!

 This morning we made Weetbix slice and we went into a group of 4 and then we had to number ourselves into 1,2,3,4 I was in group 1, we had to grab a bowl and a mixing spoon we had a red mixing spoon and a blue bowl. We had our own tasks/jobs I had flour. We doubled the Recipes. 

Here is the Recipe

• 150g Butter, Melted
• 4 Weetbixs (crushed)
• 1/2 cup of White sugar 
• 1 cups Flour
• 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
• 1 Tbsp  baking powder 
• 1 drop of Vanilla Essence

My groups one is the bottom one. 

  

This is my persuasive writing, I'm trying to persuade into not to cut down trees.

 Why we shouldn’t cut down trees! 

Are you tired of people cutting down trees? I don’t agree with people cutting down trees. Did you know that every one and a half acres of forest are cut down every second. That’s not good, we are losing oxygen to what these people are doing to our home and environment. I'm here to say “STOP”  these people are running our home land. We need trees to breathe and make paper for us! Please stop cutting down the trees we need.

First of all, I know that people will cut down trees just to make new things. 

Did you know that Loss of forests contributes between 12 percent and 17 percent of annual global greenhouse gases. Animals don't survive these sorta things. Half of the world's land mammals live in trees around the world. So if we cut the trees down half of our land mammals will die. 

Secondly, People can’t do anything about our land mammals dying because it's the people's fault for cutting down the trees. 2.3 million species live in one tree. It takes over 10 years for a tree to grow, so if you went ahead and cut down one, that’s 12 years that tree has wasted on just growing. The animals get hurt just because they are cutting down trees.

Finally, The animals live in danger and the animals need our help and with the people cutting down the trees for making a new theme park it's gonna put the animals and insects in to danger nobody should be doing this. Yes, I know that trees grow really tall but still we can’t let people cut down our trees because they want or need to make a new theme park. Trees help improve our water quality as they slowly filter rainfall water. 

So in conclusion, no matter what we do, people are always gonna cut down trees. There isn’t anything good about cutting down trees so why do we do it? Just how many trees are being cut each year and where, or how are they being used? Everyone will do anything to cut down a poor little tree and leave the poor animals to just suffer and not rehome them. That's all I want from you is to PLEASE STOP CUTTING DOWN TREES!

Mysterious Tree

 

This is my pobble 365 picture that I have made and when you go into a tree portal, you have to imagine what you see inside. This is a random idea of what's inside my tree and I think its really cool. CCC/Christchurch City Council Dog Smart

 On Thursday Last Week we had Animal Control Come in to your school and Teach us about Dog Safety. The lady had a Dog It was a Huntaway x Greyhound and his name was Jock. He had a long snout like a Greyhound he was White, Black and Tan he was So cute and funny all he wanted to do was get attention and to sleep cause he kept on wandering around the floor, and wanted to get cuddles and attention from other people. Here are some thing that we learnt from the dog smart lady. Always ask the owner if you can touch the dog before you approach the dog or if you don't ask otherwise the owner will not know where the dog is and the dog will be somewhere getting pats from a lot of people. Chest is Best always go for the chest and not the head cause then the dog will attack and always do the chest when patting a dog after asking the owner if you can pat the dog. If a dog growls at you use a bag as a Shield, Legs together, Lean against the fence and slowly walk backwards and ALWAYS use a loud deep voice "GO HOME"  Here is a song that we sang at the end of Dog smart " If a dog's on its own leave it alone' It was funny and good cause there were siblings and they were always touching the dog without asking at Other places like a Forest,Dairy. Never tease a dog then they will get annoyed ad start barking and if you have thrown something over the fence and the person has a dog don't go climbing over the fence go and knock on the door and ask the owner to get it. Dogs need 2 walks a day, Food, water and Love. Thanks you for ready this I hope you have learnt something about dogs Because Everyday you learn something new! Zucchini Brownies

 Zucchini Brownie

Our School has had a lot of things in our garden exetpcally Zucchini's so we have been making things with them and that was our second time making zucchini brownie, Here's the recipe

We have had a lot of fun making it and it turns yummy you should really try it. 

The ingredients you need are: Sugar, plain flour,oil,cocoa powder, vanilla extract,shredded, zucchini, baking soda, dark chocolate chips, we omitted the salt. Interesting when we mixed the sugar,flour and oil together it made it a sand- like consistency. When we added the zucchini, the moisture helped to mix all the ingredients together and it began a cake like mixture. 

We all washed our hands thoroughly enough so then we can start doing everything and that then they are clean.
